I never planned to become a DJ. Music was just always there — it was my therapy, my community, my constant. I grew up learning various dance styles and picked up drumming over fifteen years ago. Rhythm wasn't something I learned. It was already there.
DJing became the next chapter of that journey. What I didn't expect was discovering a second gift alongside the music: the ability to create memorable experiences for other people. To look out at a room and see exactly what it needs. To build something together in real time.
As I got deeper into the industry, I noticed something: women were nearly invisible behind the decks. Not because we weren't talented — but because we hadn't yet been given room to lead. That had to change.
